Web configuration

5min

The web configuration is used for the basic management of the system and can be accessed via HTTP and HTTPS.

Please note that when accessing via HTTPS, a warning message may be displayed by your web browser stating that an invalid certificate is being used.

You can ignore this warning. The connection is still securely encrypted. The message appears because the certificate for local access was not issued by a certification authority known to the web browser.

Access to the web configuration

The access is done in a web browser using the IP of EG122SN. If the network's DNS server supports it, you can also use the alias/hostname of the system.

The default system alias is "eg122sn".

Finding the Gateway in your own Network

There is also a cloud service for finding gateways in the local network. You can access this via https://discovery.iot.bsc-center.de.

If the gateway and the client use the same Internet access, the available gateways should be listed here. Possibly, this service can be affected by network settings or provider settings.

The login to the web configuration is done with the password of the administrator user "Admin". After successful login you will be redirected to the status page of the system.

If you have forgotten the password, you can reset it. For more information, see Reset system.

If you change the password of the user "Admin" on a client, the password for accessing the web configuration will also automatically change. If you change the password in the web configuration, the password of the user "Admin" will also be changed.

Web console

The web console displays various status messages of the system and can be expanded by clicking on the button in the bottom right corner.

In the unfolded state, there is the possibility to fix the display using the lock symbol. Otherwise, the display automatically scrolls so that the latest entries are always shown.
