Client access
Various client applications are available for different purposes.
Basically a client always communicates directly with the EnOcean controller via the BSC-API interface. The connection is established either via the local IP or with the device VID via remote access using our transparent proxy service. The connection is always E2E encrypted.
At the beginning there is the user "Admin", to which you have automatically assigned the same password as for access to the web configuration when Getting started.
Please pay attention to capitalization when entering usernames and passwords.
The VID is visible on a sticker on the bottom of the device or in the web configuration under the Software menu.
When you change the password of the user "Admin" on a client, the password for accessing the web configuration also changes automatically.
The BSC Remote is a web client that is aimed at end users with a user-friendly interface and can be used through any up-to-date web browser. Alternatively, the BSC Remote is also available as an app for Android and iOS.
In addition to controlling and managing devices, flexibly configurable rules and scenes enable easy automation of processes. The connection is made using the VID of the EG122SN.
As an alternative, a locally hosted version of the BSC Remote application is available on each EG122SN. You can access it either through the web configuration under the "Web Client" menu item or directly by calling the address http://<IP>/remote in your web browser.

To facilitate setup, the BSC Remote supports the search for gateways in the local network.
The EG122SN and the device on which the BSC Remote is being executed must use the same internet connection. If necessary, this service may be affected by network settings or provider settings.
The Expert Configuration is a web application that offers extensive options for customizing the configuration of the EnOcean controller. The extensive possibilities require basic technical knowledge of the user. Therefore, this application is more aimed at experienced users.
This can be accessed via the "Expert Configuration" menu item in the web configuration. To make the menu item visible, the "Advanced Settings" under the "Additional Settings" menu item must be activated and the system must be restarted.
Alternatively, you can also open the application directly by calling the address http://<IP>/client in your web browser.
The BSC-Connect Mobile App is available for Android and iOS and provides a location-independent visualization and control of all objects such as switches, sensors or actuators, in houses and other buildings.
The connection is made either via the VID of the EG122SN or directly through entering the network IP.
