Each template represents an available export module. A template contains a list of module-specific settings that can be configured before creating a new export instance.

In most templates it is possible to select the local user that will be used for the export. This way, all user-related permissions or restrictions can also be taken into account.

Depending on the module, only one or several export instances can be created.

An instance is also considered the same by most modules if the basic connection data such as host and port are the same. It is then not possible to create the "same" connection more than once.
