Initial Setup

Initially, an administrator password must be set for the gateway. To do this, the web configuration of the device must be accessed.

In the delivery state, the LAN interface obtains its IP via DHCP client. The web configuration can be accessed via the assigned IP. If you connect a monitor via HDMI to the gateway (before the power is connected) the assigned IP is also displayed there.

Initially the gateway also provides a Wifi access point. The access data can be found on the sticker of the device. You can also scan the QR code located there.

Normally, you will now receive a message on the device with which you access it that the Internet access must be configured. If you confirm this message, you will be redirected to the web configuration of the gateway.

If this does not work, you can also enter the IP 10.42.0.1 in the web browser to access the web configuration.

In addition, there is a Cloud Discovery service at https://discovery.iot.bsc-center.de. If the gateway and the client use the same Internet access, the available gateways should be listed here.

On the setup page of the web configuration, the admin password can now be assigned. An e-mail can optionally be specified for the admin user. Notifications will then be sent to this e-mail address.
